Today we started production finals. Each student signs one-on-one with Mrs. G. If you miss class, it is your responsibility to schedule a time to make this up with Mrs. G. during 1st lunch or after school.

We practiced for the production portion of the final exam.

Today the study guide and details for the production final was handed out and students had the class period to practice. You need to get one from the wire rack on the table. The vocabulary portion of the final was discussed.

Progress reports were due for 30 points. Field trip forms for The Red Badge of Courage were due. Applications for the immersion weekend at WDS are due tomorrow.

Today we watched "Eli's Story, Learning to Hear". Progress reports are due Thursday. Field trip forms are due Thursday with a check for $18.00 made out to IHS. We need chaperones! Ask your parents! Chaperones are $10.00 for just the cost of the ticket.

Today we took a fingerspelling quiz on words from practice list #11. We wrote 10 sentences using words from vocabulary list #4. The sentences must be double spaced with the vocabulary words underlined. We will gloss and sign them later so be sure and write sentences that you can translate and sign. Have these finished for class on Tuesday, January 18.

Today we took a quiz on Chapters 12-24 of For Hearing People Only and reviewed vocabulary from units 1, 2, and 3. You will need to schedule a time with Mrs. G. to come in after school or during 1st lunch to make up the quiz.

The fingerspelling quiz for list #11 will be on Monday, January 10th instead of today.
It was moved so students could use the entire class period today in the computer lab to type Deaf Culture Contact papers. The DCC assignment page is posted on the website so you can type them at home too.

Period 4 - Today we took the quiz on What the Deaf Man Heard. You will need to make this up after school or during 1st lunch. We signed a thank you card for Mr. Fred DeBerry and passed around fliers for upcoming Deaf Culture Contact events. We reviewed vocabulary from units 1, 2 & 3 to begin preparing for the final. Unit 4 vocabulary list was passed out and introduced. We played a game with the new vocabulary.

Today we had a guest speaker. You can write a Deaf Culture Contact paper about the things that he taught you about Deaf culture. If you missed today, you will need to find another Deaf Culture opportunity. We will go to the computer lab on Friday.
