Today we glossed our songs. It is due by the end of class tomorrow. We are going to the computer lab tomorrow to type the gloss if you want and type Deaf Culture Contact papers.

Holiday signs packet was handed out, get one from the wire rack. Check the board for new upcoming Deaf events.

There was no fingerspelling quiz today due to the shortened periods for the girls soccer recognition and celebration. We will use this same list for next week.

We went to the computer lab and printed the words for our song assignment. See your assignment sheet for details.

I showed a sample of a videotape that is produced by Seattle Central Community College's ASL interpreting program. I will get ordering information for anyone that is interested in having one as a study tool.

We reviewed vocabulary for unit 3.

We watched a classifier presentation. Go to http://www.jal.cc.il.us/ipp/Classifiers/
and watch the demonstrations and movies for all the classifiers listed. There will be a quiz and you are expected to know the material.

Today we took a fingerspelling quiz from the practice list #8. I drop one fingerspelling quiz grade each quarter, and a new quarter started on Monday, so you only need to schedule a make-up if you have missed more than one in a quarter.

We did a following directions activity that (hopefully!) resulted in a six-sided snowflake.

Progress reports were sent home. They are due back with a parent signature for 30 homework points by Wednesday, November 24th. Ask me for yours. We passed back papers so students could check to see that all their scores were recorded correctly.

We finished SN unit 3 packet. You will need to get a video to make this up. You have the same number of days that you were absent to make it up.

Today we reviewed unit 3 vocabulary by practicing with a partner and playing a game. If you were part of the 75% of my students that missed for a job shadow today, your make-up work is to practice your vocabulary.

Today we read chapters 8-11 in For Hearing People Only and took a quiz on the reading. You need to check out a book and then take the quiz to make this up. Turn in your notes with the quiz. You may use your notes on the quiz. Students were able to see their quarter grades.

Today we took a fingerspelling quiz and the words came from fingerspelling practice #7. I drop 1 fingerspelling quiz grade each quarter, so you only need to schedule a make-up if you have missed more than one. (And...it is the first day of a new quarter!!!) You have the same number of days that you were absent to schedule a make-up quiz.

Today we worked on the Signing Naturally unit 3 packet. We went over spatial agreement (get the handout from the wire rack), watched the conversations, and did the Grammer Practice, Comprehension, Identify Where section. Get a unit 3 packet from the wire rack. You will need to get a Signing Naturally video and make these parts up at home.

You only need to schedule a make-up quiz with Mrs. G. if you have missed more than one as I drop 1 fingerspelling quiz grade each quarter. Today we wrote three of a classmates best Vocab unit 2 sentences on strips to be signed in front of the class tomorrow. Every student signed their own sentences to a partner and helped correct each other's before turning them in.

Practice signing your sentences to prepare for tomorrow. Get 3 yellow slips from the wire rack and write your 3 best sentences on them, one on each. Give them to Mrs. G. Turn in your paper to the turn in box for your class.

Vocabulary unit 2 test will be on Thursday, November 4th.
